| It all started with a jar of sludge. It wasn't supposed to be sludge. It came from the supermarket and had 'baby food' on the label. But believe me, it was sludge. There was definitely no way I was going to eat it. |
| Mum and Dad tried everything. They warmed it up, they played airplanes with it, Dad even made choo choo sounds and told me I was the tunnel. But I'm not stupid. Sludge is sludge and it's not for me. |
| To begin with, they thought I was just being fussy. But then they tried it themselves. You should have seen the look on Mum's face. It was really funny. And I reckon that's when they decided that things had to change. |
| So that's when they planted my garden. It's not actually a real garden, it's more like a long shopping list of the very best fruits and vegetables that go together to make the kind of things that grown ups like to eat. That's what goes into making the yummiest, scrummiest food for people like me. |
| Then, just like a garden, it started to grow. Suddenly there was smooth food that you can eat when you're really small, then proper meals like casseroles and pasta and those big people foods. Then they got to thinking about other things too. |

| They started thinking about clothes and books, and TV shows. They realised that if you want the absolute best for your kids, sometimes you have to get in there and make it for yourself. They talked to their friends and their friends' friends and their friends' friends' friends. And those friends talked to their friends and one thing led to another and suddenly Rafferty's Garden has grown in all kinds of directions. |
| The books are being written, the clothes are being made and even the TV show is coming together. It's all really exciting. |
| But it all comes back to the same simple idea. Only the best is good enough. I guess you can't argue with that kind of logic. |
| Nobody gets to be a baby for very long. So it's worth making that time the best time in their whole life. And that's what makes me the luckiest baby in the world. |
